HeLP™

A new painless outpatient technique for treating hemorrhoids using our exclusive HeLP™ equipment:

Thanks to the HeLP™ procedure kit, the treatment is fast, simple and with minimal discomfort for the patient.

The HeLP™ Proctoscope is designed for easy passage into the anal canal and provided with a channel to guide the disposable HeLP™ Doppler probe, which allows for identifying the branches of the superior hemorrhoidal arteries above the dentate line.

Then, focalized laser energy is applied using the exclusive HeLP™ fiber Handpiece for photocoagulating each one of the sub mucosal branches with no pain as the area is non-sensitive.

Laser photocoagulation of the branches of the superior hemorrhoidal arteries both close the arteries and fix the rectal mucosa and sub mucosa to the muscular layer, causing retraction of the hemorrhoids and preventing prolapse through the anal canal.

This technique is safe and causes minimal pain or discomfort to the patient. Post operative recovery is faster than alternative approaches, with only few complications. Anaesthesia or analgesia are generally no longer required what greatly reduces complications, whilst simplifying the procedure and making the treatment safer, faster and completely out-patient with minimal or no pain postoperatively for the patient, showing excellent immediate and long term results.
